Alex’s Birthday Giveback 2026: Give Life, Give Food, Give Kindness

Every year, we celebrate Alex’s birthday by turning remembrance into action. Through Something for Alex, we honor Alex’s legacy of kindness by serving our community and helping neighbors facing food insecurity.

This year’s Alex’s Birthday Giveback will take place on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, and we invite the entire community to join us in a day dedicated to making a difference.

Give Life

One of the most impactful ways to help others is through blood donation. A single donation can help save and improve multiple lives.

We are partnering with Shepeard Blood Center for a community blood drive from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All blood donations stay local, helping patients right here in our region.

As an added benefit, Shepeard Blood Center will donate $20 to Something for Alex for every successful blood donation made during the event.

Give Food

Beginning at 4:00 p.m., volunteers will distribute:

• Hot meals

• Blessing Bags filled with food and essential pantry items

Our goal is to provide encouragement and practical support to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Hot meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with one meal available per person. Blessing Bags will be limited to one per vehicle to help us serve as many households as possible.

This year, community members, businesses, churches, and organizations have come together to help us collect food donations and supplies for hundreds of Blessing Bags. Their generosity helps ensure that local families have access to food when they need it most.

Give Kindness

The heart of this event is simple: kindness.

Whether you donate blood, sponsor food items, volunteer your time, make a financial contribution, or simply help spread the word, you are making a meaningful impact in someone’s life.

Alex’s Birthday Giveback is more than an event, it is a community coming together to care for one another. Every act of generosity, no matter how big or small, helps us continue Alex’s legacy of compassion and service.
