A very special thanks to Matt and Ashleigh Duncan for starting Something For Alex.
We are so glad that Alex was able to get to know you, Matt even if just for a short time.

A Little About Alex

Alex was born and raised in a small town in Georgia. He was your typical child full of life and personality. He loved the outdoors from an early age including fishing, camping, hiking and riding bikes, baseball and soccer. He developed a love for acting and modeling and was in school plays, community theater, commercials and print. He even spent a summer in NYC with acting opportunities. He loved acting with his sister, Taylor and was in many productions with her. She says that is the reason she did acting in high school and college and graduated with a degree in musical theater. He also enjoyed gymnastics and tennis. He won a state title as a 12 year old and he was able to help his high school tennis team win a state championship. He was an avid fly-fisherman, loved kayaking and mountain biking. He had recently moved to Atlanta after living several years with his brother, Trey, working with him in Trey's Construction company renovating homes. As you can see, Alex lived life to the fullest every minute and all those that knew him, miss him greatly. He loved being with his family and friends. He was 30 years old when he lost his life so tragically and did not do things to get recognized, he did things out of the kindness of his heart.

II Tim. 4:7 - “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— Shared at Alex's service and the verse he chose for his high school graduation from Augusta Christian in 2005.
